Er ist für das Fahren im Einzel- und Doppelsitzer ausgebildet und wurde im Zweierfahren (mit seinem Vollbruder Hudson, der hier vor ein paar Wochen weiterverkauft hat) konkurrenzfähig eingesetzt. Onyx ist so geduldig und freundlich, wie man nur sein kann, und steht ruhig für alles auf dem Boden und das Auf- und Absteigen auf einem Block. He is a 6 year old Draft Cross with all the shape and bone you could ask for. Onyx is a very laid back guy that is very non-reactive and chill about everything. He is trained to drive single and double and was used competitively in the double driving (with his full brother Hudson who sold on here a few weeks back). Onyx is as patient and kind as one comes and will stand quietly for everything on the ground and mounting and unmounting on a block. You can drop your reins anywhere and he will stand like a gentleman. Onyx is the ultimate trail riding or obstacle horse. He has virtually no spook and will cross anything. He has a slow jog that is lovely to sit and a large extended trot that can cover some ground. He has seen a days work on the ranch gathering cattle, gone down the highways, and has crossed water/logs/tarps/ditches/etc. We have ridden him both English and Western and started him over small cross rails. He has a very sweet demeanor and loves attention, grooming and going to do something. Easy keeper and gets along with everything. Hauls quietly, gentleman for the farrier and has impeccable manners. Hij is getraind om enkel en dubbel te rijden en werd competitief gebruikt in het dubbel rijden (samen met zijn volle broer Hudson die hier een paar weken geleden verkocht is). Onyx is zo geduldig en vriendelijk als maar kan en blijft rustig staan voor alles op de grond en op- en afstappen op een blok. Je kunt je teugels overal laten vallen en hij blijft als een heer staan. Onyx is het ultieme trail- of hindernispaard. Hij schrikt bijna niet en gaat overal overheen. Hij heeft een langzame jog die heerlijk zit en een ruime uitgestrekte draf waarmee hij heel wat terrein kan afleggen. Hij heeft een dag gewerkt op de ranch om vee te verzamelen, is over de snelwegen gereden en heeft water/bossen/tarpen/heuvels/etc. overgestoken. We hebben hem zowel Engels als Western gereden en zijn met hem begonnen over kleine crossrails. Hij heeft een heel lief karakter en houdt van aandacht, verzorging en iets gaan doen. Makkelijk te houden en kan overal mee overweg. Trekt rustig, is een gentleman voor de hoefsmid en heeft onberispelijke manieren. Onyx maakt het niet uit of hij alleen is of in een groep.
