Captain Joe is looking for a new job! This 10 year old, 14.3hh trail horse has been ridden in the hills of Tennessee including the notorious rough terrain of Woodbury. He has also ventured through the trails of Kentucky where he most recently spent a weekend camping in Red Hill at the Founding Fathers annual ride.  In addition to these two notable Trail Rides, Captain Joe has explored MANY trails in between! Captain Joe has enjoyed the rough, hilly terrain as well as moving out in a nice, smooth gait on flat ground.  Saying that Captain Joe has spent many hours under saddle is an understatement.  Although he has extensive trail experience, we still recommend Captain Joe for an advanced rider as he can be a bit unpredictable at times. A rider who understands that horses are animals with independent thinking functions not machines who drive on command would be the best fit for Captain Joe. On the trail, Captain Joe will ride in the front or the back of any group of horses. He will ride out alone from the barn as well displaying zero signs of barn or buddy sourness. He has routinely ridden with dogs and been exposed to all sorts of farm equipment. Captain Joe is looking for a forever home where he will be loved and appreciated. He thrives on having a job and enjoys human companionship. Loading and unloading Captain Joe is no problem, and he will stand cross tied.  He will also stand to mount.
