Hello, after a long consideration of what is best for my horse and me, I have come to the conclusion to make him available with a possible takeover option. Due to changed life circumstances, I can no longer give him the time he deserves. Essentially, he is getting bored and simply does not deserve to be pushed aside so thoughtlessly. I am very attached to him, which makes it difficult for me, but precisely because I love him so much, I want him to be better off. Of course, I ensure that he is well taken care of: twice daily feeding, hay, additional treats, farrier, veterinarian... at night he is in a box with a window, during the day he is in a paddock with two buddies; all of this is self-evident... but he lacks the appropriate exercise and engagement. Although he is already 24 years old, as an Arabian gelding he is still fit, just not in training. He is ridden for leisure in the countryside, does a bit of dressage work in the riding arena/indoor, and engages in lunging and groundwork. He is not a rearer or a bucker, yet I would not describe him as a beginner or children's horse. He needs a loving, reliable person who can provide him with security. He has no illnesses or feeding problems. This means he does not require hay steaming, silage, etc. He can stand on straw. He was in a paddock for 13 years... since August 2008 he has been in my possession ♡

What am I looking for?

Ideally, a winter-proof paddock with pasture in the summer. Box housing with pasture is also perfectly fine. He should not be kept alone, of course. He should receive plenty of love, attention, exercise, and engagement. Preferably, the new location should not be more than about 100 km from 38440 (further away is not excluded if everything else fits), as I would like to visit him occasionally, and possibly ride him occasionally by arrangement... (probably rather rarely, otherwise I wouldn’t be giving him up).
