“Slim” is a charismatic, triple registered (AQHA/APHA/PtHA), 2019, 15H, GORGEOUS blue eyed palomino overo gelding. There is no denying that this gelding turns heads everywhere he goes. You won’t find one prettier or sweeter! Not only is this gelding drop dead gorgeous, but he has the personality, brains, rideability, and comfortability to go along with. Slim is adorable; he is SO kind with a lovey-dovey, teddy bear like personality. He has never met a stranger, and walks right up to the gate to be caught, as he has a friendly, curious, and willing demeanor that we all can appreciate!
Slim loves a great adventure out on the trail. He will cruise out with a buddy or alone confidently! He will take you over all the obstacles, bridges, through water, and will watch his footing over fallen logs too. He enjoys pushing cattle in the field and he also has been exposed to 4 wheelers/tractors etc. We took Slim for an outing in town and he handled all the traffic commotion very well. Slim has ridden at different covered arenas, been shown a handful of times in ranch riding events, and travels excellent off property! I adore his curious “student” like personality – he always wants to learn and please his rider!
This boy is a dreamboat to ride – he is unbelievably smooth! He is flat kneed, deep hocked, and overall, just a beautiful mover. Slim will excel in just about any event you point him at from the pleasure, horsemanship, ranch riding, trail, hunter hack, HUS, and even over fence classes. You can show him in 3 different breed registries, trail ride him, or purely enjoy your equine partnership in him. His favorite gait is his pitter patter jog – which can be extended into a toe flicking extended trot. His canter is also balanced and ground covering as well. Slim has a started flying lead change and has even been lightly started over fences which he shows promising potential. Whilst we have mainly ridden him western in our program, we just recently discovered how adorable and naturally talented he is english/over fences. With further development he would win all the hunter hack/over fence classes as he is such a good mover, light, and floaty down the rail! He wants to be adjustable down the line and brave to the fences too. A true all-arounder right here!
Slim is 5 panel negative, 100% sound and healthy, BAREFOOT, never injected, current PPE on file for your peace of mind! He is UTD on vaccines, coggins, trimming, dental, and chiropractic care. He is clean legged and an easy keeper. He hops right in the trailer, backs out, stands tied in the cross ties, clips, bathes, excellent for farrier/vet. Respectful on the ground, stalls/pastures well, and is not riddled with any stall vices (no crib/weave/pace etc). We have had Slim in our program since March and know his prior owner/trainer as well. This super star will make someone a very nice all around horse whether you want to hit the trails or show pen.
