♠️“Ace”♠️
(AQHA: High Rollin’ Ace)
Ace is a stunning gelding with the kindest soul—a true gentleman who loves attention and is safe for everyone to enjoy! His name was chosen at birth because he was as black as the Ace of Spades, a memory his previous owner fondly recalls.
Ace stands 14.3hh and is 9 years old. He has great conformation, a refined head, and a soft, kind eye. Ace’s “in-your-pocket” personality is simply the best. He loves people—he will put his head in your lap and soak up all the affection you’ll give. He’s got great manners, is easy to catch, tack up, and handle, making him an absolute joy to have around.
On top of his good looks and gentle nature, Ace is an exceptional riding horse. He’s stout, strong, and capable of carrying any rider with ease. He is as gentle as they come—Horses like him make riding truly enjoyable. Ace has fun buttons, but he’s also user-friendly and easy to ride! He carries himself beautifully on a loose draped rein or will ride direct with more contact—whatever you prefer. His floating trot, slow jog, and smooth, collected lope are a dream to ride. He knows his leads, has a slow spin, a responsive stop, and a great reverse.
He is a gorgeous mover! He would excel at Western dressage, ranch pleasure, versatility ranch horse, trail classes, roping, or cow horse events. Or even lower level jumping! He is incredibly versatile no matter the discipline.
He’s done some steer stopping, ranch work and a little bit of English riding too.
Ace is always eager to step up to a challenge, and he has a natural willingness to go over obstacles.
We’ve taken him overnight camping at “Buffalo River Trail ride” as well as “Land Between The Lakes”, where he happily carried his riders over some of the toughest terrain with ease, like the trail veteran he is. He’s been ridden through steep, rocky areas, dense woods, and narrow goat trails, always confident. He’ll carefully pick his way along, cross water without hesitation, and navigate obstacles like fallen logs, brush, and steep drop-offs without breaking stride. Whether you’re leading a group or riding out alone, Ace is the kind of horse you can trust to remain steady, and reliable. He’s been ridden in all kinds of weather, in daylight and after dark, his smooth, easygoing nature makes him a pleasure to ride, for a quick afternoon ride or covering miles on an all-day trek, he has plenty of stamina and will go as long as you want. If you need a dependable mount for serious trail riding, Ace is the one you want under you.
At our local Christmas Parade, Ace got lots of attention, and he didn’t even mind the loud sirens and people throwing candy past his head.
To sum it up, Ace checks all the boxes. If you’ve been searching for a solid, honest, and safe gelding who will take care of his rider, you already know how rare they are. Ace is one of those truly special ones that you’ll be proud to have in your barn and as part of your family.
✅ Sells 100% sound! Ace recently had a Pre-Purchase Exam by Equine Vet John Laster DVM and passed with flying colors.
Located in Lyles, TN—come meet him anytime, we’d love to have you out!
