Affectionately known as “Grayson” a whopping 15.3 1200 lb AQHA Gelding
With an old soul and more miles on him than an old pickup, he has a rock-solid demeanor that never wavers. From long days covering rough terrain trailing cattle to exciting bright lights and action of the show pen he has seen it all!
We have used Grayson extensively on numerous ranches all over the country in every element imaginable. He is our go-to for timid, unsure, or green riders and he truly enjoys taking care of his passengers and calibrates to the ability of each person aboard. This guy prefers a slow, steady gait and easing around but will pick up and move out when asked.
Easily the most enjoyable horse in the barn to ride with his gentle trot and soft lope as well as his smooth handle and consistent gaits. Takes both leads, side passes, collects and extends beautifully, and a square halt. Grayson rides English or western excelling in any discipline. Has schooled stadium and cross country as well as dressage. We have also dabbled in team roping when we’re not using him on the ranch to gather cattle and drag calves in the branding pens.
There is no terrain this tank hasn’t seen or conquered with ease and confidence! Steep mountains with loose rock, creeping through canyons of boulders, busting through thick brush stepping over logs and fallen timber, wading through creeks and rivers and gently stepping across streams. But make no mistake! Grayson has seen his fair share of the big city!! It doesn’t get any louder or more chaotic than a cutting horse show and our guy has spent hours upon hours turning back under some of the best trainers in the industry then standing tied quietly with a rein draped along the arena rail.

Meets you at the gate each day and loves nothing more than scratches and a good bubble bath. Gets along in any herd dynamic and also enjoys being stalled. No history of lameness or previous injuries.
