Fresno is a 6 year old Quarter Horse gelding standing 15.3 hands high. Fresno is talented, simple, and safe. He is a natural on the cross country field, reliable on the trails, and an educated fun to ride horse on the flat. He was raised on a ranch, where he got a super solid start with lots of good education and life experience. Since coming to us he has been proving to be quite the event horse in the making, though he would be just as qualified to be a super trail mount too! Finish him out to have a superstar event or dressage horse, or hit the trails tomorrow with a ready to go trail master. His quiet mind and versatile education sets Fresno up for success no matter the job.

In the ring, Fresno is a great mover with three quality gaits. He has a one hand neck rein, knows all the lateral work, and has a great stop and brakes. Fresno has everything to be a super traditional or western dressage mount. He is schooling first level tests with the foundation to easily go up the levels. Fresno is forward thinking, but not hot. He goes when asked to go, and slows when asked to slow down. He will ride on a loose rein or in a frame, and is soft and light in the bridle. Under western tack he will jog, and lope off. Under English tack he will extend, collect, and knows how to get round in the bridle. Most of his jumping experience is out in the field and on the xc course, but he has been honest and easy while putting courses together in the arena. He pops over 2"6 without question and easily has scope for 3' and more.

On the trails, Fresno is experienced and reliable. He knows a days work on the ranch and is not phased by ATV's, dogs, kids, or other farm animals. Fresno is happy riding alone or in a group, and will ride in any part of the pack. We have used Fresno to work our hounds, he is smart and sure footed - making him a strong candidate for fox hunting! Fresno has great trailer manners, he's easy to load and stands tied to the trailer like a gentleman. He loves going for swims in the lake, and loves getting out to explore.

In the barn, Fresno is quiet and sweet. He enjoys attention and is a good boy for all of the usual barn activities. He stands tied, and is happy to be groomed, bathed, and tacked. Fresno mostly lives outside, but is well behaved in his stall. When turned out, he lives in a mixed herd of mares and geldings and gets along well with others. He is easy to catch and is the first to the gate!
All of our horses are ridden and handled by all the members of our family. Our program ensures safe, versatile, family-friendly horses & ponies for ALL disciplines and jobs! Our horses are all used to our children, their friends, guests, and family being on and around them. We trail ride, go off property, haul off to clinics and lessons, attend horse shows, camp, and more!
